Army presentation

Zosia Wierzbowicz-Fraser along with Leszek Bemowski took part in a presentation by the British Army. It took place at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness.

Information sharing was the main focus of the evening, presented by Brigadier Willis, who stressed the extensive support offered by the Army to its soldiers and their families.

Relevant information for Poles, is that Polish people applying for and being granted British Citizenship are welcomed into the Army on passing the entrance examinations .

 

End of school year academy

We have come to the end of the second school year for the Polish/Scottish Saturday School in Inverness.

Very young pupils from the Infants and Primary 1 classes received diplomas and prizes, while pupils from the age of seven to fourteen received reports. Pupils who attained the best grades in their work were awarded  book prizes.

Community Care Consultation

The Highland Community Care Partnership (The Highland Council and NHS Highland) is currently putting together a new Joint Community Care Plan.

The Plan will clearly set out our approach to providing care and support over the next three years to adults who need community care services.

Third May celebrations in Saturday School

Jim Ferguson, Conservative Party Candidate was our guest for the 3rd May celebrations held at the Polish-Scottish Saturday School.

Ww are grateful to the children and their teachers who worked hard to prepare for this national occasion.

We thank all our guests for sharing in our celebrations.

 

Grand opening of the first polish-scottish library in the north of Scotland

The Polish-Scottish library was opened on Saturday afternoon at the office of the Inverness Polish Association. The honoured guest Mr Jim Ferguson cut the red tape and gave a short speech in which he praised the initiative.

The library will be open on Mondays from 18.00 to 20.00

We invite all those interested to come and browse around !
