The Chairman of the Inverness Polish Association , Zofia Wierzbowicz-Fraser attended the Conference on 28th/29th November 2009.
The conference was opened by the Justice Minister Kenny Macaskill and the Consul-General Dr Tomasz Trafas . Among other keynote speakers were the Provost of Falkirk Pat Reid , Gordon Sampson of the Central Scotland Police and Robert Starzynski who acted as the host to the delegates.Over 80 people attended.
Every organisation gave a presentation and discussions and new friendships continued into the early hours of Sunday morning !
We now have links and contacts with a number of organisations which act in a similar way to us .
Contacts include London Barka , Southampton, Belfast, Leicester SPK ,Nottingham, Glasgow and Perth . All of us aim to improve the lives of Polish people in this country .
In the future we are hoping to host a similar conference in Inverness.
