Today, 11th April, during the Polish Mass led by Fr.Piotr Koczorowski in the Roman Catholic Church of St Mary’s in Inverness a large congregation of Poles prayed for the victims of the tragedy at Smolensk.
Before the Mass , the Chairman of the Inverness Polish Association Mrs Zofia Wierzbowicz-Fraser together with the Vice-Chairman Mr.Leszek Bemowski distributed red and white roses to people entering the Church.
The mass of red and white roses in our national colours symbolised our solidarity with our Homeland at the time of our National Mourning .
Final tributes were paid as the flowers were placed before the National Flag and Emblem of the Republic of Poland.
